No Coverage No Fee PR

31 May 2011

The method of drawing up a press release and sending it out to all media agencies is a bit of a lottery, with the chances of being published close to zero.

This means that there is a lot of wasted time and cost in drafting and distributing a press release for no return.

Of course, mainstream PR companies can be engaged on a retainer basis to increase the client's chances of being published. However the cost of this service can be restrictive to SMEs with the return on investment not always measureable.

Keeping in line with Next Chapter's cost effective marketing approach, we have launched a PR service that is based on a 'no coverage no fee' principle.

This is a return on investment focused approach whereby our clients only pay for the media coverage Next Chapter achieves for them.

How it works:

Specific media targets are chosen in advance.

The relevant parties are contacted and provided with a pitch/briefing note.

If there is interest, our client is contacted for an interview/engagement.

Our client then only pays for each piece that is published.

Follow up:

The maximum return from the published piece is extracted. This includes advice on how to promote it on our client's website, through social media etc.

Benefits of this service:

Our client only pays for each piece published.

Our client cherry picks what media to target in advance.

The maximum leverage is achieved from each published piece.

There is no PR retainer cost.

We want to help our clients tell the world how great they are.... using cost effective methods. Therefore we are delighted to add this PR service to our portfolio of cost effective marketing solutions.

Hi John, Will there be a MAX fee in this? i.e. if the piece really takes off would it cost quite a bit? Mark

Hi Mark. Many thanks for your comment. Because the service operates on specific media targets being chosen in advance, the client knows their potential expenditure from the start. Any additional untargetted media that picks up the piece thereafter is not charged for. Regards, John
